have a 99 frc 6sp with a hurst short shifter car has46,000 mi on her. gears seem to catch from 3rd to 4th is this my syncros or maybe my shifter needs tobe realigned or time to change trans fluid.
I changed my fluid and did it ever make a difference..I think there was a thread just a week or so ago about how and what kind of fluid I believe it was Redline D-4 ATF.
I changed my trans lube to RP Synchomax last summer at 71K. Made a big improvement in shifting. You might start there and then try adjusting the shifter. Lots of good threads here on how to do that.
thanks for your input realigned shifter no improvement . changed trans fluid seen a little improvement but still catches from 3 to 4 will give trans fluid time to work .
