K/N filter and Vararam

K/N filter and Vararam
For those vararam veterans. I had mine for 9 months . When do I need to refresh the K/N filter? Do I just follow the instruction from the spray bottle? Any advice? Got a couple of days off and looking forward to working and detailing the vette.

Procedure is straightforward when cleaning a K&N.
Follow the instructions on the K&N cleaning kit. (Cleaner & oil kit)
Flush GENTLY from the backside when rinsing. Using high-pressure water or air will damage the filter element.

If you run out of the cleaning solution, you can use diluted SIMPLE GREEN.
I always run out of the cleaning solution before the oil, which is the way it should be...oil very sparingly to avoid contaminating the MAF.
