Default Removing the radio

I am trying to remove the radio unit to do the LED conversion to a different color. All goes well until I try to get the antennea lead out of the back of the radio. Is there a trick to removing this cable? Thanks for the help. I have a 2004 Vert. with the stock radio with a single cd player.

There seems to be an echo in here! I've seen this same question in another post!

It just pulls straight out. Just get a good grip on it with your fingers and pull. Remove the other cables to get the radio further out so you can grab it good.

Mine took a little torque, but she came off.

Man, I have been there a dozen times with scratched fingers and a million cuss words myself. Until I figured out what to do. Remove the AC control as well. This will give you a little more room for reaching that stupidly short cable. Before you re-install the head unit (which also is a bitch) get yourself an antenna extension. The one I bought has every conceivable antenna connector on it in a circle. Just cutoff the ones you don't need then put it on the short wire. When you get back in there you will have plenty of lead wire to push that sob back in there, and you will be ready for the next time.
