In the kitchen last night and hear the horn chirp. Thought it was the wifes car in the driveway but she said it wasn't and sounded like it came from the garage. Went in to check and the car is locked. Never lock it in the garage and key fob was hanging in the kitchen. WTH? Gremlins?
okay guys i've posted this numerous times , all key fobs that have the active/passive switch , the switch gets a little dirty and makes it do this just take it and slide the switch back and forth several times and it will clean the contacts inside .
then you are good to go
Are your keys within 25 ft. of car, and it is active switch on? It will try to unlock car untill batery goes dead. The person I bought my car from warned me about this, but said he never had that happen to him. But his fob was from a 2000 and had no active switch.
