You may be getting to the marginal power level for the LS7 clutch, stock C6 Z06's make that power but there are quite a few owners not happy with the clutch. Its a great clutch for a bolt on or mild H/C set up..... I have one in my car and it performs flawlessly.
Honestly I think you will be ok as long as your not planning on beating the snot out of it at the track
Just picked my car up from the shop. I had them install that clutch in it. I like it so far. I have around the same hp as you. 464/429 we will see how it goes.
I'm making 587 to the wheels on the LS7 clutch and have been doing so for almost 50,000 miles. It holds up nicely but I'm not super hard on it either. I'd put another one in if I had to do it again.
Will a ls7 clutch hold up and last on my car. I have a 2003 z06 that I am looking to make around 460rwhp.
If you're going to put a sticky tire on it I'd pass on the LS7. One thing I've learned with these cars is to buy more clutch than you need. They're a PITA to change so dropping an extra $500 now may just save you money or time on your back in the long run.
Centerforce clutch?? I will have to look into that. Any other opinions before I pull the trigger. Oh yeah which centerforce clutch series are you mentioning.
