Just noticed one of the foglights dead on my 97. Anyone change the bulb on one. Didn't get the chance to get down below to see where the socket is and no help in the owners manual. thanks for any info!

And if you can't get your arm in through the headlight bezel, go in from below. There is an access panel on the underside of the front fasica that if you remove it, you have clear access to all the bulbs/sockets.
Find a skinny arm, and go from the top....much easier.
i could do a bulb swap in <5 minutes this way. if you have to jack up the car to unbolt the panel underneath the facia to do the job, it will probably take a lot longer.
I have been told the sylvania 899 is a much better bulb. You may want to consider replacing both with these. They are 50w and supposed to be much brighter/whiter. Not HID's, but less than $10/ea. I have not done mine yet, so I can't give you first hand advice.

The 899 is a 38w Bulb. If you want the 50w bulb it is 885 and a decent improvement over stock.
Just a thought, check the bulb with a meter first. Both of mine went out at the same time, but it was the ground splice pack being the cause. Both have seperate wires to that splice pack at the top right frame rail.
Went to dealer . They sold me a Delco 899 for $19.80. Must have been the kick me sign on my back. Anyhow went the bezel route with no problem ( once I realized acess would be much better with the hood open). It looks like the old one is a little brighter but hard to tell in daylight. Wish I had seen the posts about the sylvania bulbs before I headed to Chevy. Oh well live & learn Thanks guys and I'll fill out the profile
