Tire size question
Hey guys, I've got a set of wheels I want to put on my 02 Z06, and they're not stock size, so the tire size issue is once again going to be asked.
The wheels are 18 x 8.5 in the Front and 19 x 10 in the rear. So what tire width will keep me closest to stock, and still fit on the rim, and not be impossible to find. I feel like I can use a 295/30/19 on the rear just fine. Can I use a 265/35/18 on the fronts?

look at tire rack for the brand tire you want to see if it will work, some tires might accept 8.5 rim others not. I use th 265/35/18 in front with bridgestone zri and have used kumho same size BUT I have a 9.5x18 front rim. good luck.

You'll just have to do your homework and check the mfr's specs for that width tire (265/35) to see if it will work w/ an 8.5" wheel. A 265/35-18 is basically the same circumference as a 265/40-17, so from that standpoint you are fine. All that being said, people here use (IMHO) the wrong size tire/wheel combination all the time and profess to not having any problems, so it just depends on if you want to take a chance....
