foglight HIDs anyone?
hey has anyone installed HIDs into their foglights? i would really like to see pictures of that it probably looks sick. plus youd never have to open those ugly headlights. Also what kind of HID bulb do you buy for the fogs ... Thanks

I've got them in my headlights and my fog lights (893 bulb). Ever since installing them in my fog lights, I never turn on my headlights anymore. Looks awsome at night with just the fogs on, Ive been using them as my regular lights at night for over 1 year with no issues from any cops. Maybe just lucky, but they are bright enough to drive with.

I just finished installing my new HID fogs. It was sunny, and warm enough to get to them today. Even in the full sunshine, they are BRIGHT! I can't wait for it to get dark, so I can see how bright they really are.
I went with 881 bulbs, instead of the 893. They were easier to find, and according to what I read, brighter.
I'll try to post up some pics for you, when it gets dark.

I put 899 6000K Fog lights in my car. I love the look !
I have a Z06 so installed factory fog lights then installed the HID kit.

Same here...I bought my Fog HID kit off eBay as it was the easiest place to find that had the HID's in the bulb size I was looking for 880/881..Looks great, but I still use my main headlights when driving @ night, makes no sense to not use something that is there for a good reason, to see better, that is why I put the HID's in in the 1st place anyhow, hahaha! Easy mod, makes the HID mains look better and lets me use my Fogs again. I hated the pasty yellowish light the stock bulbs put out!

I just installed an 8000k HID kit in both my chrome c5r headlights and my stock foglights and it looks beautiful! I originally had piaa p1100s... in my opinion they are terrible, hid all the way.
