Default Smooth coupler?

Any of you Z06 guys replaced the stock MAF to TB coupler with a smooth silicone piece? If so do you know the size needed?

Yep, you can buy from a vendor specifically for your application and it will bolt right on.

There are a couple different shapes depending on weather you are using a stock air bridge or an aftermarket one, so choose per your use

Here are a couple of ideas:

i think they make a difference in combination with other intake mods...like air filters and air box lids etc..and like anything else...dyno tuning improves those improvements ,i think most would agree , that any mods.. need to be seen as a "whole package" depending on $$ and what you want to end up with..

Yes it does.....at least from an airflow stand point.
The stock accordion type coulper will cause alot of turbulence VS a more laminar flow with a smooth coupling. Not sure what kind of HP difference it would make just by it's self but there will be at least some measurable difference in airflow efficiency which can only improve the breathing characteristics of any engine. Add this with an aftermarket power duct which also creates better airflow and you get an aclaimed 6hp increase.....at a cost of about $350 for both, not exactly the best bang for the buck, but will certainly help out with any further mods done to the induction system.
