i think they make a difference in combination with other intake mods...like air filters and air box lids etc..and like anything else...dyno tuning improves those improvements ,i think most would agree , that any mods.. need to be seen as a "whole package" depending on $$ and what you want to end up with..
Yes it does.....at least from an airflow stand point.
The stock accordion type coulper will cause alot of turbulence VS a more laminar flow with a smooth coupling. Not sure what kind of HP difference it would make just by it's self but there will be at least some measurable difference in airflow efficiency which can only improve the breathing characteristics of any engine. Add this with an aftermarket power duct which also creates better airflow and you get an aclaimed 6hp increase.....at a cost of about $350 for both, not exactly the best bang for the buck, but will certainly help out with any further mods done to the induction system.
