I see painting calipers which I plan doing some time or other but I was wondering if anybody has painted the inside half of their stock wheels?
I thought it might look good painted the same color as the calipers.
If anybodys tried this I'd like to see some pics before I go screwing up my wheels.
My car has Y2K chrome 5 spokes... These are GM wheels w/ aftermarket chrome. They look good except the chrome on the barrels is peeling away especially in the back. So I cleaned them, then sanded them before giving them a rattle can coat of paint. It's a cast color and looks really good similar to a C6 barrel color. The front wheels have just a little peeling so I've left them alone for now. Sorry no pics but I'm pulling them off over the next few days to detail the wheelwells (that's a once a year routine for me - gives me something to do in the winter) and I'll try and get a few for you.
I had some JGP 20" wheels on one of my trucks. The rim was painted black behind the face, and I liked it. It kind of made the machined lip and painted spokes pop a little more.
