Hi Guys, I haven't been on for a while, so I don't know if anyone posted about this item yet. I ran across it in the Feb issue of Popular Science Mag. It claims to increase your gas mileage by a guaranteed 50%, and up to 9x better. The link is below. See what you think of it. I'm a skeptic myself, because I've seen so many snake oil type ads in the past and none of them were ever valid. But this one is very interesting, and if it really is valid, well all I can say is OMG. But you have to wonder why all the car manufacturers wouldn't be all over it .
Luck to all
I have a couple of magnets I will sell you for half the price. After you tape them to your fuel line, they'll do as much good.
Come on, just stop and think about it. The US car companies are all losing money and market share and gas is $3.00/gallon----if it worked, they would be using it.
I think there are lots of ways to increase gas mileage in American cars, but I also think there is a strong oil company presence (lobby) in Detriot and Washington that keeps us paying for $3.00 per gallon gas in cars that aren't that economical given all the advance we've made in technology.

I think the C5 is very economical, Lets see, HiPo V8 C5 30 mpg, Honda 4 cyl gutless 35... American V8 wins this one.
Again, Ford, GM, Chrysler are all losing their A##----if they could magically produce a 50 mpg vehicle (let alone a 100mpg vehicle) they would. Let's face it, any company that could do that would mushroom their business (not to mention their CEO bonuses)!!!
I e-mailed this to an enigineer friend of mine. Retired Lead Engineer in one of the Big 3 in Diesel Engines and now employed with an Experimental Engine Testing Lab. I expected a drawn-out engineer-type answer, these are his exact words:
"This is absolute and total bull$hi#. It's like a guy named Joseph Goebbels back in 1936 told Hitler...make the lie big enough, and people will HAVE to believe it!"

I'm going to remember that line about Goebbels-----people can be such fools.

I don't believe it as they are still getting ridiculously rich from the oil companies.
I suggest you watch "Who killed the electric car" and wonder why GM literally confiscated their EV1s and had them crushed. This when staring at a big check offered by the owners to buy them from GM. They turned down money to crush cars for nothing...

The car companies and oil companies are 2 different industries. The profits of Exxon don't go to Ford!!
The EV1's were built and leased as a real-world test---there was never any plan to sell them. If they sold the EV1's, they would have to service them for years to come all over the US----not just in the limited market that they were were leased in.
In another life, I saw some really fine off-highway equipment prototypes cut-up and scrapped for the same reasons.
If you think the US car companies are getting rich, go buy some of their stock---it's at all-time lows.
I've developed a special gasoline ionizer that increases the fuels combustability by 50% which in turn will raise your mileage from 20 to 30 mpg. All I need is a few investors. My address is Abuja, Nigeria.

Pissing in the gas tank will yield better results...
Hello Guys,
As I said in my original post I am truly a skeptic. I have been around long enough to see many bogus claims about gas economy. And they've never gone anywhere but away. Albeit with a lot of peoples money I'm sure. Personally I don't beleive this one either. BUT, I felt that whoever is out there that hasn't seen the Ad yet, should have a chance to see it themselves and make their own informed judgement on the situation and interject their own informed, intelligent input. And as one respondent said , he had an engineer look at it and totally renounce it as the scam that it probably is. If it would be real, then it should be embraced and used to the utmost, and indeed would be. And if it would be fake then it should be brought out in the open ,and bannished to the trashbin of BS like the garbage that it is. Only by bringing it into the light of discussion can either of these be done. So that is one reason I posted. As to why I posted it on this forum, I have a lot of respect for the members of this forum, as a group of very knowledgeble, and tech savvy people.
Another reason I posted is because I don't profess to know everything, and what if it were a viable energy alternative? The world would certainly be a better place for it, and every auto manufacturer in the world would absolutely flock to use this technology.
Unfortunatly it will probably turn out to be just another rip, such is life.
Luck to All
