i once saw them on a black Z, but not painted. they were nicely covered with carbon fiber. BSM...if you like'em, should match the cars paint. you can always chrome them!!

Dang, Dave, that looks slick!

(Wheels look pretty cool too.)

Considering the hating on BSM's in general and what other people have accepted as "good ideas" for body mods, it all comes down to your own preference.

If you like them as-is, leave 'em alone.
If you are up in the air about keeping them in general, get 'em painted... you can always just get 'em removed if you don't like the results.
