new member/pre delivery issues
Put a deposit on an o8 zo6 in Jan found at a dealer in Van B.C. Had to be shipped from a dealer in Van to home in Vernon BC Can. Got back from holidays to pick up the car. Found out the clutch had to be replaced because the clutch would not disengage. Was told that the vehicle had 9 kms when the deposit was given with a verbal subject to no damage from the winter shipping. Showed up with 68 kms and a defective clutch. Viewed the defective clutch replaced, purple spots on pressure plate and a burn`t disc. The rear tires look worn. The dealer in van said it was driven by the sales manager 2 times with customers in the pass seat. (burn outs, clutch abuse & who knows???? Also found a dent in the front fender or small crease. Will require body & paint work. They expect me to pay the balance and drive it away! Called gm canada. They say it`s between me and the dealer. Got a 25% deposit on the vehicle. I want out of the deal or order one from the factory for the price agreed. Gm says 2005 to 2008 have had issues with pressure plates. A new part number has been released in nov 07 to address the low clutch pedal or non releasing clutch and will be found in 10/07 up production. The production date of the this car is oct 07. Car still in the show room waiting for me to finalize the deal and pick up!

If this was a blind date and you were having these issues with some chic someone set you up with.......what would you do?
If you're like the rest of us, this car will be your "baby", your pride and joy..........is this how you want to start out the relationship?
Don't settle when you haven't got the emotional attachment yet......far too much money to put up with that kind of nonsence.
This isn't going to be a "one night stand" is it?
Now I guess you have your answer don't you?
