FYI-
Called a few Chebie dealerships looking for touchup paint. They were no help, even with RPO codes. I ordered a bottle from the Eckler's catalog. Turns out it is GM brand touchup paint.....duh!!!!!
Here is the GM part number as it reads on the bottle:
"1 #12346496 code N73 WA 1630"
Don't know which portion will make sense to the dealership but there you go anyway.
Thanks Ecklers!!
GM...nice try but, no cigar!
GM has more $36 billion problems to worry about then a $10 bottle of wheel touch up paint. Oh wait! Maybe if they did worry about that $10 bottle they wouldn't be $36 billion in losses!
Just got my bottle of magnesium from Ecklers last week. Haven't cracked it open yet but probably will this weekend. I also picked up a bottle of duplicolor clear top coat and some primer. Don't know if I need the primer or clear coat. I'm thinking that with the depth of the marks in the wheels that I would be best to clean out with a pencil eraser, prime the spot and apply several coats of magnesium. Then clear coat it for a nice finish.
My $10 bottle of paint ended up costing $800 since I figured I might as well replace the front 2 run-flats before touching up the wheel. Doh!
Wish I could figure out a way to replace the faded yellow "magnesium" lettering.
