Default Launching an A4.

What's the best way to launch using the A4 for drag strip success? keep in mind I am still running stock tires. Car is equipped with TC, Ride Control and Competitive Driving Mode. Thanks!

I would suggest getting better tires.

OK, that out of the way, put the car in "competitive driving" mode. Put it in D, not OD. Avoid the water traps and just do a little spin to clean the tires. Make sure it is pointed straight. Hold in the brake, and push down on the gas until the car wants to move, then back off a little. At the bottom yellow light, release the brake and get into the gas gently until you hit full throttle.

Easy to say but hard to do when the adrenalin is pumping! Practice!

I put it in 3rd not D.
I have tried launching with all 3 modes and have come to the conclusion that there is little to no differance between competitive and TC full on so I just leave it on. With it completely off I could not hook at all.

When I was nearly stock I could hit the go pedal to the floor and hook. Now that I am modified I have to feather a bit. I agree with avoiding the water and loading the car up as posted above....go on the last amber light.

traction control off, 3rd, comp mode

foot on the brake wait at the 2nd to last yellow i give it a slight tap to 1500 rpms and let go and an immediate half peddle down and foot off the brake on the last yellow

these two actions are very close. I do not sit on the brake and hold rpms
This will over heat your converter. So just flash it and then go
