New to C5
So here is the story as posted on the C4 General Section.
Today marks my 2 year point for owning my C4 (96 vert correct color red/black). My wife asked me a few weeks ago what I wanted for our annivesary which is today, and I joked and said another vette. As some of you know I have been looking for a GS but all that I have found have been out of my price range. So I started looking at other years.
Well I work as a Deputy Sheriff and for the past year I have been working in the Civil Process Division. We do evictions, serve papers and also seize vehicles by court order. I had a seizure that took me a while to get as the person was hiding it from the finance company. I asked the guy at the finance company what was owed on it and asked if I could buy it for what was owed. He said when they recover it I can place a bid on it. I located the car this morning and seized it and turned it back over to the finance company. They let me take it for a test drive and it ran great (6 speed pulled hard through all gears) I said to myself, self place a bid for what is owed on it (as it is not in perfect condition and needs some work) and see if they accept it, so I did. I just got a call from the finance company and they accepted my offer, I am picking it up in the morning. I took some pics with my work camera and have yet to download them, as soon as I do I will post pics.

More to follow.
Oh and I got a GREAT price on it. Even if I put $3,000 into it I am still 7 - 8 k ahead of the game.
OK here are the pics, and remember even with adding 3 - 4 k in repairs I will still be ahead 7 - 8 k off the price. Got it for a steal!!!

Remember It's almost as fun cleaning and polishing as it is to drive.
