Default Aftermarket Seats

I'm curious to see how many people here are using aftermarket seats, and what their opinions of them are.

I have been looking at two different seats at the moment, they are:

Corbeau VX2000

Corbeau LG1

I'm interested in hearing what you guys have experienced in the fitment of these seats in the vehicle, and how comfortable they are. Specifics are preferred. Such as if they sit too low, not enough control in seat adjustment, too uncomfortable for short drives, pinch way too much (might have to say your waist width in inches to give me an idea) and anything else you might be able to add.

Also, I'd love to see some pictures of what you guys are running as well. I don't want to limit the discussion to the two seats I've posted, anything goes. Although, I'm not intersted at all in Fixed Back seats...only seats that are adjustable.

Thanks!

Beautifully appointed interior, TJ. Well done! IMHO: Your Red C5 Vert is quite stunning!

Can you give me your thoughts on the seats?

Comfort?
Ease of Installation?
Range of Adjustment?
Hold Well In Turns?
Fit/Finish?

Also, those seats aren't adjustable. They are fixed back....

Comfort? They are quite comfortable despite being very thin.
Ease of Installation? The install took around 3 hours by myself
Range of Adjustment? They use the factory seat rails so the forward/back range stays the same
Hold Well In Turns?Hold much better than stock seats around turns
Fit/Finish?As with all Caravaggio products they are excellent quality!

Also, those seats aren't adjustable. They are fixed back....
Didn't read all of the post, sorry! Personally I don't miss having the backs adjustable. I thought I would, but they were designed just right without that function.

Once my seat is in position, I never move it. So if a fixed back seat is the right angle...I guess it wouldn't be so important to have an adjustable seat.

Although, the Carravagio seats are far too expensive for my taste. Definitely nice though.

I dont think either of those Corbeau seats will fit in the C5.

Caravaggio here too. Power base still functional, so the seat tilts back, I don't even miss the recline feature. You get what you pay for!

BTW: Fits like a glove, but if you're over 210 fogetaboutit!

Jetz..have you tried removing teh foam from the seats yet....I'm a bit over 6'1" and when I hit some quick up an d down road surfaces I sometimes bounce my head off teh cross member.

The other day I removed the foam from the rear seat base bolster...Its a whole diffrerent level...

BTW Im 215..I dont wear sweaters whn in this seat...it is a glove...

I wann be just like frank!

BTW QuickShift..those Corbeaus you're showing will never fit the C5..WAY too wide in the butt..thers about 18 inches

Check with Mark over at Arizens (do a Google search) or check over at ls1tech in the vette section he's found a way to mound Sparco Roadsters... Tell'em Aaron sent ya!

How well do the stock belts work with the Caravaggio's?

I like my Corbeau A4's since I still drive the car on the street. Cheap and they look right at home in the car.

Awesome, some great information here guys.

Didn't realize those Corbeau seats woudln't fit. I wasn't exactly going for the widest seats I could find, I just liked the style of them. I'm 6'1 and only 180lbs, so seat width isn't a primary concern really with a 34" waist.

The Carravagio seats sure are nice.

^ Get the A4's. I think you will really like them. Im 6'4, 190 and I fit fine. There is so little room for aftermarket seats that the A4 Wide version wont even fit

I'm six foot Aaron, and since I don't track the car I have no helmet clearance issues. I've been told I have a hard head anyway!

BTW: are you allowed to post 'head', and 'member' in the same sentence here?

Can you post any images of what they look like inside your vehicle?

Any of you guys with Corbeau A4's have pictures?

How is LMPerformance selling the Corbeau VX2000 seats for a C5 if they don't fit?

http://www.lmperformance.com/736/4.html

Is there any way to confirm that they won't fit and they are just showing all seats that they sell?

I wouldn't mind the Corbeau A4's, but they don't have the color combo I want. I would like blue/black seats, but the A4 is WAY too much blue.

^^You can get the A4 in a variety of colors and styles including black leather, which is the way I would go if I went that route.

Just google corbeau to find their site and look at all the choices they have for the A4s.

You might also want to look in the roadracing section to what seats they have installed.

Might want to look at Sparco seats too.
