I see many threads about tuning and the thread I started about dyno sheets got me thinking. I see many people are upgrading parts that unrestrict the air flow into and out of the engine. Are you guys also installing larger injectors or having to upgrade fuel pumps? Or is the stock fuel delivery system good enough to support these upgrades that are easily adding 50hp? Also with a good tune, is it easy to maintain the same A/F ratio as GM designed the car with stock?
The 26 pound injectors, I've heard, are good for up to at least 400-rwhp (about 450 crank hp).
So your thinking is correct, you can't just keep adding air. Eventually you're going to max out the injectors, and possibly the fuel pump, at which point they will need to be upgraded. For most of us though, that requires more power than we're putting down.
So then at around 450rwhp the stock injectors are good as gone then. What are your options then, just maybe upgrade to C6 injectors, or aftermarket? Also, how does this change in injector usage when "not compensating" effect the A/F ratio?
