Default Top Quality After-Market Wheels?

Besides opinions and experiences from this forum, does anyone know of a website (like a Consumer Reports)where I can get educated on the
the "quality" of a set of new wheels?

As an example: For my '04 C-5 Mag-red Coupe I like the look of the Motorsport Z06 "Rivet Rim" style wheels of this vintage and not the
new C-6 looks.

The original factory wheels on this car are polished aluminum which I understand is better than chrome because of the better maintaintence and I don't have to worry about any chrome chipping over time.

However, from what I have read on the forum so far, it seems that there is a mixed bag of opinions on this subject.

Any personal experiences would be welcomed, also.

Does anyone also know if any of these wheel distributors/retailers will take my original factory wheels in a partial trade for new ones?

I believe he is pretty close to you. Chrome is all over the polished.

We all like what we have - you need to come up with the reasons you want. I wanted to keep the forged original look but add some subtle bling. They will do an exchange of your wheels for the chromed ones.

I have had mine now 6 years and they still turn heads. No one is real sure why my car looks better than others because my wheels look stock except the "bling".

If you go and put on some obvious after market ones - then you get a - well that is a modded car and I like these other wheels better.

Just an opinion.
