You have to find the right smog guy then you can do what you want. Some guys are looking at all the nit-picky stuff other shops just see if it passes the sniffer. I would look for the second type. Ask around, my supercharged car passed without any stupid questions. Turns out it runs really clean. That should be the bottom line.
