Default Ti mod question

When you do the Ti mod, does it drone in the car? I want to do this, but I dont want to drive myself crazy on the highway.

which "mod" in particular?

If you mean swapping a coupe/verts factory catback for a Z06 titanuim factory catback.. then there is no drone.

If you are talking about the A&A mod, then no.

I have it with no cats and headers. When I get on it or when I'm accelerating from a stop its almost as loud as my bullets were, but once you settle in and cruise and your rpms drop it's very quiet.

Modded Ti is the best catback by far.

Im talking about the by pass mod. I have a 03 Zo6 with long tubes, no cats and an x pipe. I just want to make sure I wont have any drone.
Thanks

I love mine. Much crisper sound but no change at all during normal driving.

Sorry, but the by-pass mod sounds like a motor boat. A stock Ti exhaust has more than enough volume at WOT,
the by-pass mod just ruins a perfect Ti system. Making a car louder is not making it any faster.

I had mine put on this week actually and I think it sounds sweet-***! No drone at all on the highway and very, very nice at WOT!

Had Ti's put on, or Ti's with the bypass put on?

I was told it was a direct swap in and will fit all coupes or verts.

Yes, it is a welding project, the bypass pipe has to be welded into the properly cut piping. From what I've heard, finding someone to weld Ti isn't the problem, the problem is finding someone who knows how to weld it properly so that it won't fall apart.

Ti's with the bypass, I have posted two threads about it with video clips.

And yes, it does require special equipment to weld Ti. I could only find one person in Oklahoma City who could do it and it cost $200.

I have the A&A mod done on the regular C5 exhaust with no drone whatsoever! This is my main reason for not getting an aftermarket catback, that and the fact that I love the sound.

Though I do get a faint rattle sound at 1,400- 1,600 rpm that I can only hear with the windows down and the sound bounces off a nearby object. The sound is not a metal on metal sound, just something particular to the A&A mod as I've heard it on others' cars when they post videos.
I'm hoping my shorty headers will rid me of that rattling sound. Of course when driving the car with the windows up, I can't hear that rattle at all and the entire exhaust sounds FANTASTIC!!
