have to get the car up high to get them off without cutting them, other than that its just nuts n bolts.

Whatever you do, do not cut your Ti's - a horrible waste! There is absolutely no need; just make sure you're up high enough off the ground (or of course on a lift). You will need to remove the bushing clamp on each end of your rear sway bar and let the bar swing down and out of the way for sufficient clearance. Then just a matter of unbolting, wiggling, and out they come! I assume you will undo the nuts on the rear rubber muffler hangers; be careful not to push the bolts up into the body, as it is a lot of work to get to them to reposition them. Good luck.

Cool! Thanks wamara! I was just concerned if there was something i could accidently screw up on the car changing these out. As long as there is no cutting i should be ok (no welder). Wish me luck!!

Just take your time, double check things, and I'm sure you'll do fine Oh, and make sure you have the torque specs when you reattach the bushing clamps which holds the sway bar. Two fasteners on each clamp; one fastener is a nut, and one is a bolt. The bolt is threading into aluminum, so you don't want to overdo it. I vaguely remember the specs being around 70 and 49 ft/lbs, but I don't remember which goes to which! I know it has been stated here before; you should be able to find it with a bit of perseverance.

Postscript: I just did a quick search myself, and found this statement in one post:
Rear torque is 70 ft-lbs for lower nuts and 49 ft-lbs for upper bolts. DO NOT cross thread these or you will be in a world of hurt.

What Warma says is right on. The rear muffler hangers are held in position by a dual bolt system w/the threads going downward through two holes in the rear frame. The bolts are of one piece held togeather at the top which you can't see, because the top of the bolts are hidden in the frame. Just imagine it like a U clip. The problem being is that you could push this clip up and into the frame, and it would be a very pita to get back in position. Other than that its a piece of cake. Good Luck,Bob.

I just swapped mine out last night for the bay-bay Stinger knockoffs. It was a royal PITA doing it on jack stands, I had to actually unbolt one end of the swaybar to swing it aside to get the last half inch of clearance due to the bar resting on the jack stands. Spent a while twisting and turning the TIs, till finally finding the one sweet spot where they came right out.

Worth it though, LG streets, no cats, straight through exhaust... heh, loud and proud!

You need to get the rear very high. The passenger side is harder. It takes loosening the sway bar. When you get it high enough, they almost fall out.
