Removing stock Ti system ?
Hi,
I got a quick question is it possible to remove the stock Ti system with just putting the car on a set of ramps ? I dont want to cut it also.
Thanks !

Not on ramps. You need to raise it really high - maybe 36 inches.

To change mine I had to use a floor jack with a couple of 2x6s to get the rear high enough to get out my stock exhaust. Like the other guy said about 36 inches. Its up to the point that the front bumper cover just kisses the ground.

Don't cut it. The exhaust on a C5 can be removed without cutting. The Ti is worth a lot more money on the used market if isn't cut.

You need to get it up at least 30 inches. That from the botton of the rear bumper to the ground. The hardest part of the job, is jacking it up high enough. I changed out the stock exhaust for a Ti system in just under an hour, from start to finish.

Cutting is like throwing money away. Find a way of unbolting them.

If you are out of options, you could always look for a retaining wall and back your car up to the edge.

Why not spend the $50 bucks or so and go to a muffler shop. You'll get a lot more than that out of the uncut TIs and just maybe you can have your new exhaust installed for a little more. My life is worth more than $50-100 bucks.

Take it to a muffler shop and have them do the work. That's what I did and they charged me $50 for the job - took about an hour.

Still alive
...
I saw a picture of a guy who backed his C5 to the edge of a loading dock to change it out... great idea if you have access to one.

Jack stands, I don't own any, I just used 2X4's on my floor jack, like the picture to do mine.
