I know I know
Thinking about lowing the Z just a few days ago there was a great thread about it, with pictures an all.. Been looking just can't seem to find it... Any help out there would be nice...
It certainly looks much better but I don’t know how guys get away with it. I scrape the air dam in many places and I’m stock height!
its not the plastic air damn that I'm worried about. its the rest of the car when its that low. No idea how people can get anywhere and enjoy driving like you are going through a slalom avoiding potholes and other crap in roads and parking lots.

BMG.. What is the advantage of the coilovers??? I have not dropped mine yet just getting all the ducks in a row first.. Not sure if I will but leaning that way.. Not my DD but don't want it to be a big pain to drive.. I have the Frame savers and rocker rails already..

There are a few advantages over other lowering methods.
The Pfadt coilovers offer the following benefits;
16 way adjustability so you can tune the shocks to your driving. Maybe softer for driving comfort during the week and then a harder setting for the track
Unlimited ride height adjustment. Instead of using longer bolts, etc. You can set the ride height where You want it
No loss of shock travel. These units are made for the lower ride height and you will not be bottoming out like you would on stock shocks and longer bolts many use to lower the car
Elimination of mid corner skittish nature of the stock C5 suspension. The stock C5/Z06 does not like mid corner bumps. The coilovers help that and give you much more confidence in the cornering abilities of the car.
I would contact Aaron Pfadt to discuss what is the best solution for your car. He is a wealth of knowledge and has great customer service.

I will call and talk to Aaron... Thanks for sharing with me... I really like the way your car looks, mine is a black 03.. I like the idea on lowing it but not on losing any of it's ride, this might be the thing for me.. Thanks again...
