Default question about new tires/rake/alignment

I had 315/30/18 on the rear, and had my rake set to be about 3/4" higher in the rear....this weekend I'm switching back to 295/35/18 oem size.

Would I need to fix the rake first, drive a week, and then take it back for an alignment? Or can I align it right away, and then adjust the rear height for the rake?

Since the caster changes with the rake, adjust the rake first. If you only have to adjust the rear spring bolts, no need to drive the car around for a week.
The front suspension needs to settle by driving over a couple of dips in the road in order for the front spring bolts to slide in place. Even if you just jacked
the front of the car and lower the jack, the front end sits high until driving over a couple of dips in the road.

But when an alignment is done, the front and rear of the car is raised to spin the wheels to check the run out of the wheel alignment heads.
So the front suspension need to be jounced (compressed) to settle the front ride height.
