You're going to go with the same width front as you are on the back? Normal tires for the C5 are 245x17 and 275x18. The 275x17 will be a tight fit on the stock 8.5" wheel. I would recommend sticking with a stock 245x17 size.
Which Goodyeaer Eagle F1 tires are you getting, there are several types. All of the runflat tires are listed as "EMT". If it doesn't say that, it's probably not a runflat.

I agree that if the tire doesn't have the words EMT molded into the sidewall, it's probabaly not a runflat. And if you want a runflat, I don't think you're not going to find one in that front size.
The sidewall of the front tire needs to be slightly taller than the rear also. Otherwise, your traction control may kick in during regular driving. Stock is 45 front/40 rear. If you are keeping stock widths, you should keep the same sidewall difference as well... 40/35 for example.

There should be no rubbing whatsoever with a 275/17 on the front or the 295/18 on the rear. I believe the z06 models have this exact configuration in stock form.
Also, I just put on a set of 275/40/17 front and 295/35/18 rear tires on 9.5/10.5 wheels. No rubbing whatsoever and they are a perfect fit. You may want to go to the manufacturers website of the tires you think you want and check the ACTUAL width of the tires. For example, a 275/40/17 from say Kumho might be actually a narrower tire width then a 275/40/17 from Goodyear.
