How much Time until Price UP
The country seems to be sliding into a nasty recession. With home values falling, people are (wisely) holding back on their spending. 70% of our economy's activity revolves around consumer spending. Luxury items, like Vettes, boats, etc. are gonna take hits for a while.
Plus, GM is offering hefty cuts on 2008 Corvettes -- this will have a trickle-down effect on the value of all Vettes.
So, to answer your question -- not for a long time. Is a buyer's market.

The C5, albeit a limited production car, remains mass produced, and in enough quantities that the standard, run of the mill, C4, C5, C6 will not see big, big bucks from collectors. Some of the specialty Corvettes, Z06and the old and particularly the new ZR1 likely will command some collector interest.
Essentially, the Corvette will hold its value better than say a Mustang, and it may slowly climb in value again, but that is a long, long way off. Probably have to retrofit them to run on hydrogen.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
as fast as other cars such as TAs, Z28s, or GTOs. Heck, you can already buy a 04 GTO for 16k. An 04 vette is in the high 20s.

Recession, Bah Humbug! Look at the numbers underlying the driveby media hype. low unemployment, lowerinf interest rates, etc. I the the dang politicians would stay out of the way we all would be doing fine. Out here in Oklahoma there is no hint of a slow down. The libs and their friends in the press are calling doom and gloom cause they want a lib in the White House.
Just refuse to have a recession in YOUR world! I am going to.

Now is not a good time to be a seller but great to be a buyer, as with housing... it's a buyers market!
Gas prices are not helping either, tipping 3.20 a gallon for the cheap stuff here...
