10,000 Posts!!
Finally, after nearly five years of being a member of the Corvette Forum – this is my 10,000th post. Back when I first joined and I was seeing members even back then with over 10K posts, I never thought it possible to reach this number.
I have prided myself in never simply posting an emoticon to push my post count. I did a significant majority of my posts right here in C5 General, unlike some that did it in less than a year posting in OT, where many of the posts are simple one or two word replies. I also take pride in the fact that I have tried to provide factual and supported information when questions come up, and I have tried to set an example to newer members to treat each other with respect and courtesy. There have been plenty of times when I encountered situations that really raised my ire and my blood pressure. I tried to take the “high road” and not allow myself to get in engaged in an ugly name calling mess. I am also proud of the fact that I have never lost my posting privileges (guess I’m not trying hard enough, huh?).
I have made a lot of friends (and some enemies I’m sure) in my time here. Among the people that I count as friends, are some relationships that I was lucky enough to establish with some of the finest vendors (our supporting vendors) anywhere.
I have learned more about the C5 than I ever thought possible – and that is a tribute to the people that post here, or posted here as the case may be on a regular basis. I miss some the regulars that used to post here.
My car continues to mean so much to me; it is a totally different car today than it was almost five years ago – all because of the Corvette Forum. But the best thing about owning this car was back then and continues to be today – the people that I have met along the way.
So thank you all my friends and even the people that don’t like me; for tolerating my sometimes sarcastic, obtuse sense of humor, my sometimes wordy replies (like this one) and my beliefs in courtesy, manners and decorum. I hope that I can continue for another 10K and beyond.

Randy my friend, I am soo happy for you. We have had many conversations over the past year or so and I wouldn't want it any other way. You, my friend, are a wealth of knowledge and the forum would have truly suffered without your input...
