Is it difficult to do this? I have a front license plate cover that I bought that is a darker shade of torch red (car had halltech cover when bought) and was wondering if a paint shop can match the what seems to be a lighter/orangish color at times on my car. Also same deal if I was to get a high rise hood... can it be matched or is it hopeless. Like as if no torch red colors completely look the same for each car... I see a lot of a slight orange during the daylight in my paint as well sometimes. Little boggled here.

A good reputable bodyshop can match the paint. It isnt as easy as going to the paint code and having them mix it and be done. Just becasue the paint code says its that color it might be a few shades different, just not from a little fade, but also also colors that have to be mixed to get it right and match 100%
There are so many differnt color reds etc, they should have a bunch over 50 samples that they will have to test to get the color right.
When I had my hood painted, I though black was black for my year 01. I was so wrong, there are over 100 different color blacks, they had to bring out the samples they had until they got the right color once they new what my paint code was.
