Silicone brake fluid

Has anyone switched to silicone brake fluid? I,m aware you must completely rid the system of the DOT #3 fluid first, but is a regular bleeding enough,or is there more to it?

Ive heard that it will mess up your ABS system if you use the silicone fluid. Im not sure how true that is though.

Very true Dot 5 will foam (air bubbles) and make a soft pedal with ABS systems

DOT 3,4 & 5.1 are all useable in a street car

What he said, DOT 3,4 & 5.1 only. Do NOT use Dot 5.

I used some Valvoline Hi performance Dot 4... I can't really tell the difference honestly.
