Default [pics] Billy Boat Problem Fix[pics]

If you read my last post on how Mike Boat sent me a new exhaust due to fabrication issues of older model exhaust systems you are well aware of the problems with the hangers of the older Bullet systems.

The hangers on the older systems made over a year ago were fabricated out of 0.125" material that was failing after a year or so.
I want everyone to know that this problem has been solved and the new hangers are fabricated from0.375 material as you can see from a side by side pic of old and new exhaust systems below.

I want to thank Mike Boat for his great customer service and sending me a new exhaust system free of charge.

I have attached some pics of the problem hangers that I had to weld with the exhaust on the car so the welds are beyond bad as I couldnt really see what I was doing but they held for the time I needed them too.

Oh wow he sent you a whole new exhaust? All they did for me was send me a new hanger ...and I have yet to find a welder (what I was told to by their guy on the phone)

Also the new hanger they sent me is 2x as thick as the passanger side which is still attached (driver side broke) and I see no way that it is going to hang properly once I manage to find someone to put it on....

Who did you speak with / what is their number? I want to get my B&B's back on asap and have had no luck finding someone to weld stainless. Fairly upset at the customer service so far (I was told if they did decide to take it back I would have to pay shipping both directions)

Super nice guy and I never expected to get a call from Mike Boat himself but as he will explain to you, He stands behind his product and will set you up with a new exhaust.

See my reply to Andy above.
I spoke to Mike Boat himself , He didnt charge me shipping but I am sending the old exhaust back so he can see the problem and help him and his buisness in the future.
Like I said and as you can see from the pic above, ,the hanger problem has been solved.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

As suggested I sent them a message via the tool refrencing this thread and explaining my situation. I wasnt sure which option to send it to so I left it on the default of Attn: sales staff. Hopefully I get a response as I would love to get my Quad tips back on the car. I still like the sound of these better than anyother.

Are the tips actually that close to the bumper? I would think you could start melting or warping the bumper due to being so close.

Never had that problem and the tips were closer on the old ones as my welds were way off as you can see from the pics.

Keep in mind of the diameter of the tips as they are twice the size of stock tips

I was told that they will fail again, ,but at a different location of the hanger. I would suggest using the link above and email Mike Boat

I just went to their shop on Friday and they installed my Bullets on my C5! Mike Boat was excellent and they did a great job! They even aligned my tips to curve with the back of the car!

Their shop is first class and one of the nicest buildings i have been in for the automotive industry!
