Default My First Corvette

Hi guys...Im pretty new to the site. Alteast new to site as being able to say I own a Corvette now! I Used to have a Trans AM ws6 so was always on ls1tech, but I made the move to grab a vette and what can I say im at a whole new level! Anyway, I just wanted to ask some questions on appearance. How do you guys feel about the whole "blackout" look? Im on the fence about it. I wanna keep the car classy and I dont want to take any look away from it. Does anyone have any cool pics? I tinted the rear window so far and thats it.

Welcome from another former fbody owner. Your car looks good!

I think window tinting is a must to protect your interior and keep it cool at the same time, if it were me i would tint the side windows as well.

As for blackout lights its a matter of personal choice and i think they do look really good on black cars.

I would not tint the door windows.
Many states have laws about tinted windows, which includes a
hefty fine.

Really a personal preference on how it looks. Tinted windows and perhaps the blackouts offered by Corvette Enhancements would look great. As for the wheels, hard to beat the look of chrome or high polished on a black car.

Welcome and congratulations on your vette purchase.
I am not a big black out fan but if you do decide to go that route,Get the smokes halos.
They are just as bright if not brighter than non-smoked oem lights.
Good luck and have fun modding!

It Is addictive

Welcome to C5.

IMHO, I like the side windows tinted if the back is. Either all or nothing. There was one on here that even had the windshield tinted. Not my cuppa, but each to their own.

Talk to Gene Culley about the C6Z06 shifter assembly. Get the whole thing. It shifts nice, looks great and costs approx $200 shipped...
