Squeak is driving me crazy
Wont squeak at idle. But when i feather the gas it will. I thought it was a belt, buddy said it might be the water pump? Car is a 1999

I have two 1999's and they both do it. Both are 6 speeds how about yours?

My bet is one of the two belts or their tensioners. Alternator bearings another remote possibility.

Its an A4. Seems like its been getting louder. I dont have the heart to spray belt dressing on it to see if it will stop.

Mine is not real loud I only hear with the radio off.

I have had 2 c-5s an 04 and an 00 my friend also has an 00. All 3 have done this and after replacing the tension (ideler) pulleys it quit. The parts are around $12-$15 at autozone and it only takes about 15-30 min with 2 people.
