MGW Shifter installed
I recently posted a thread "Is Stock Shifter Really Like A Dump Truck?" (
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1928074) in search of info regarding a shifter upgrade. Got lots of good inputs, and as a result bought and installed the MGW 30% shifter (with the MGW "gripper" ****) Monday, and could not be happier with it. After a few days, my impressions:
Shifts are short, smooth and precise
No more guessing as to whether or not fully engaged in 1'st
Can shift much faster than the stock setup
No missed shifts at all
Time to get used to it - about 1 minute!
If you enjoy driving and shifting, then do yourself a favor and upgrade. Having a "real" shifter greatly enhances the driving experience. I drove 90,000 miles with the stock shifter, not knowing what I was missing. Better late than never!
