Default Some FRC questions

I am looking for some facts on the frc corvettes as I just purchased one two weeks ago. This is my second vette with my first being an 02 Z06. I was basically wanting to know what options and things they came with from the factory. I thought I read somewhere that all frc cars had the z51 suspension package but I don't see z51 listed in my rpo codes and I found another place saying only 300 of the 2000 frcs built in 2000 had the z51 package . I am just trying to get some clear answers on what I have. Any info or links are very appreciated.

All FRCs have Z51 package. Look for code FE3. Its the same thing.

I think father larry is a little too optimistic on the current and future value of the hard top.

A few quick facts.....there were a few more than 4000 made in 99' and a few more than 2000 in 2000. Only about 1000 were black in 99' and 500 in 2000. All had Z-51 package, it weighs roughly 55lbs less than the coupe and convertible. Could be ordered with all the options as the coupe and conv: hud, memory, A/H......

Whoa there, big fella. Not quite all the options of a coupe or convertible were available in the '99 model year......at the beginning of the run.
Not till late in the run was the hud an option.

I was close, haha, actually I didn't know that. I have read many books about the FRC's and never saw that mentioned. Thanks for the update!

Not a problem, I know, because my FRC didn't come with it but it has it now.

Besides, White is a much better color and much more rare than black.

Your car looks good! but I kinda have a thing for black! Not just in vette's!!! It sucks too, because it is the hardest to keep clean!!!

What I do, is when the other half is sniffing around Books A Million or something, I head straight for the car section. There are so many corvette books its not even funny. Actually, I was reading one two days ago, at a Barnes and Noble, and I found a misprint. Reading about the 99' FRC, when I got to the engine section it said that it had the LS6 I wish....then the transmission was next and it said that the 4 speed was optional That was when I put down that book and grabbed the next one. There are a lot of great books.....but a lot of them are incorrect.....don't always believe everything that you see unless you have verified it with other sources!!!
