I ordered mine yesterday from a vendor on Fl. before I found out about LAPD. I called them and told them about the price diff (about $22 shipped) they agreed to credit me $15.00 to help make up the diff.
LAPD is still the cheapest as far as I can see though!

I understand that shocks dont support the car, but I could swear I saw posts where people said after installing the FSD's the car was lower by about a 1/4" or so. I was just wondering why a shock would have an effect on ride height. Ill do a search for some posts when I get home from work.
Pan, is there a significant difference from the stock 03 z06 shock? Also in what way?
My Vette had the F45 shock system on it and one of my shocks started to leak so I upgraded to the Koni-FSD. I have not had Z shocks on my Vette, but after the shock change I have noticed that my car tracks through the turns much better and does not move when hitting seams in the pavement and is smoother over rough terrain. For those with my old setup or the standard shocks these are a very big improvement over what I had

^^I think you will find this post and the one it links to very helpful.
My car didn't lower any after installing the FSD's. Think about it though- unless the old shocks were "pushing up" the car, the only way the car is going to lower is if you mess with the height adjuster bolts or the springs.

My Vette stayed slammed as it was before the new Konis were installed
No, Koni FSD run about $550-600 for all four. Sometimes you can find them in the part section in the low $500's. They are not cheap but man do they improve the ride and handling

Mine was/is about a 1/4" lower than with the Bilstein's
Don't ask me why because I agree with everything above
FWIW, in the rest of the world shocks are called dampers. Their job is to dampen the energy created by the springs due to irregularities in the road and weight transfer.
The springs are what support most of your car's weight.
So who has them on a Z06 ( with T1 bars bars preferably ) and did it help over stock Z06 shocks?
I have the T1 bars and Koni FSD's. This is probably the best mod I have done to my car. The car rides great on the street, but really comes alive in the canyons!
