Default Bought Some Modular Performance Wheels Check Them Out

Well I decided to buy some wheels (Modular Performance Wheels) for my daily driver and despite there horrible customer service, the wheels are actually pretty nice and price is about the same as some chrome C5 repos on eBay. There 19X9.5 fronts and 19X10.5 Rears test mounted them and they both clear the brake calipers with lots of room to spare. They don't stick out past fenders either. The lip has been chromed and center powder coated nicely. The 19X9.5 weighs in at 25 lbs and 19X10.5 weighs in at 26lbs not bad at all compared to some other wheels out there. I attached pictures of the test fitment. Will post more pics when tires mounted and installed on my car. I did not buy there 100 dollar lug nuts just purchased some off of eBay for 20.00 shipped.

those look pretty nice.

with the 10.5 you'll at least be able to go with some 295s back there.

I looked into a set last year, but I didn't think they offered anything that wide at the time. Waaaaaaay nicer than those cheap looking Cray Mantas of a similar design.

you can get away with a 265 or a 275 tire on a 9.5" wide wheel up front.

245 is pretty narrow.

Got them through these guys http://hlwcorp.com/ don't mind there horrible customer service guys they don't like to be questioned about there 100.00 lug nuts but other than that they shipped same day i paid UPS and they have sales all the time on wheels.. Got the lugs off of eBay there the splined key type. 20 bucks shipped cheap.

Those are some of the nicer looking wheels I've seen The weight issue is what always concerns me. Those seem pretty light. Does anyone know what the stock polished wheels weight, say on a 2001 era wheel?/

i did some research for you.

the rear 295/35/19 size you're looking at has a 27.0 overall diameter.

a 245/35/19 has an OD of 25.8 and the cheapest sets on www.tirerack.com goes for 130 to 139 each.

a 265/30/19 has an OD of 25.4 and the cheapest sets on www.tirerack.com goes for 141 to 173 each.

a 275/30/19 has an OD of 25.6 and the cheapest sets on www.tirerack.com goes for 152 to 159 each.

so as you see, the price difference between the 245 and 265/275 is pretty negligable and you'll have a much better sized footprint up front.
