Like jdmvette said, the C5Z06 calipers are the SAME as your stock calipers. The only difference is they are red. Save your money.
What are your goals? Is this a spirited street performer, or do you plan on tracking the car? I'm a spirited driver, so I put in some Powerslot rotors, Hawk HPS pads and SS brake lines. It brakes very very well for anything I would need on the street. My ABS does not activate even on the hardest braking so I know its working pretty good.
A stickier tire will also improve your braking if you find your wheels locking/ABS engaging. Braking is only as good as your tires. Brakes can only stop the wheel if the tire is making full contact, i.e, not skidding or ABS engaging.
If you are looking for a track type setup, look into a Stoptech/Baer or Wilwood big brake kit. That will be a completely different brake setup.
For me, the changes I made were all the improvement I needed.
