Default Toyo Proxes T1R

Is anybody running these on their Z? What are your thoughts on these tires? I'm in the market for new tires, and will be getting rid of my old '02 factory tires. I will still be on factory rims and running factory size tires as well. My c5z06 is my daily driver, and i ocasionally do a little freeway racing/speeding, some light to light racing, and sometimes a few donuts and sideways action, but for the most part 15miles to and 15miles from work. Please give your thoughts on these tires or any other tires you recommend. I am on a budget too, so please keep that in mind.

Just put a pair on the back of my 01 Z. So Far I am very happy. I will say they are not as good as the PS2's I had on before (they are unbelievable tires) but they come in a very close second. I just recently had headers and a tune done to my car and I notice that if I really get on her i can brake the tires loose from 2 to 3. Was I able to do this with the PS2's? Don't know..changed them right after the work performed..but I would say yes only do to the fact I had 20g+ on those tires. The T1R's are really quiet and I notice that as long as I run the psi at 36 (hot), I have no sidewall lean as others have mentioned in other threads
Overall you will like these tires..great bang for the buck
Oh yeah...they look really nice too from the back

Thanks for the link Quick Silver. That was a very helpful write-up and after reading the full thread, I think I made my decision to go with these. Time to go burn up my factory tires!

I wish I could give you more of a hands on review Joseph. Our weather here has kept most of us grounded and many still in storage mode. I’m taking the day off Friday to have oil/filter/trans/diff fluids and coolant changed and hope to get some seat time logged afterwards.

I've had the T1R's on my Z for quite a while now and am VERY happy with them! IMHO best bang for the buck tire for our cars! Go for it, you won't regret it!

This is good news about these tires as I just ordered 4 new ones on Monday, they are getting delivered to the dealership Friday, hope to have them on Sat, weather permitting.

They were one of the few selections that had the combo that were not 350-500 per tire that I needed for my 19/20 combo. I could not beat the price w/ free shipping from tread depot.

Put a set of four on last November and I'm real happy with them. Not loud and good stick and great in the rain. And for the money, they can't be beat. Go for it!

Have 'em. Love em, and will buy them again. The look great, handle great, and while they may not be quite as good as the PS2, they cost half as much. I've run them on the street and at the track and not only do they handle very well, they wear like iron. Buy em!

I run T1Rs. I like them and the T1Ss I used before them.
