CLB Install question....for pre-2001 A4's
I was on the COH website and was going to order their CLB. I noticed in the product picture, there is a wiring harness with one end that looks it goes into the cigarette ligher. Is that right? If yes, is there any way to hot wire this so this thing isn't sticking out of the ashtray?...or am I misreading the pic?
Also, any other little idiosyncrasies related an A4 install that I should know about?
Thanks
(Yes, I did a search on some threads but none appear to answer this specific question )
It is provided free of charge in the event turning the key on does not supply 12V to the actuator and retract it. The adapter allows you to put 12V right to it excluding the on board systems. It needs to be in the retracted mode before you disconnect it. You will also pull a fuse while hot when doing the procedure. Go to LS1howto.com to see an illustrated procedure. Scroll down about halfway on the right hand side you'll see a link to the CLB install.
