New to the site. I recently purchased a 50th convertible and am a huge XM fan. Looking for advise or suggestions on the best way to add XM to the factory radio. I do not have the 12-disc changer in the trunk. Thanks in advance ! Howie
Thought I heard or read somewhere that there might be a dealer option that uses the XM, and plugs it in to the port for the external CD player and it is activated with the AUX button ??? Anyone heard of this ??

I have a very similar setup - different XM unit, but same idea. Mine is powered by the rear antenna....when the rear antenna is energized, the XM unit is energized. It works through the FM tuner, in my case I have one of the six pre-sets tuned to an unused FM frequency. When I select that button, I listen to the XM unit and change channels through it, it plays through the stock speakers, and all of the other radio adjustments work through the Bose head unit (bass/treble/balance).
I have XM in my '07 Cadillac, on a boom box in the garage and now in the C5. I'm not aware of any dealer installed capability.
