I have not bought anything just yet, but before I do I need some advice. I am pretty tall guy (6-5), and I went to a dealership to try to sit in one, but my head hit the plastic cover that fits over the roll bar. If I move the seat up, than my legs feel crunched. I am afraid that the dream of owning a corvette may always be just a dream.
I am a little surprised too, because I own a G35 coupe and I fit in it. It is a little tight, but way better than the vette. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
I did notice people suggesting to the taller people to get the conv., but I am afraid there would be too much nose. I would love to be able to fit in a hardtop. (Z06 preferably)
A coupe with a glass roof panel will give you just a little more headroom. You CAN lower the seat too, not sure if you knew that (Sorry if you did).
The most room I have been able to find in a C5 coupe is with the glass roof panel on, the seat lowered all the way, the seat back all the way and the seat-back tilted back all the way.

That about sums it up. Try the coupe and see if you fit OK.
I'm 6'5 208 and I fit fine. Scoot the seat a few inches forward and let the back fall a bit like you're riding low. At first you'll feel like your legs crunched up but then you realize that it's a more comfortable driving position anyways, and you also have a little bit more throttle control with you leg in that position (at least for me)
I should mention I also hit the bar if my seat is all the way back and up proper, and I am using a glass top.
Also, as stated, you can lower the seat. But only if the car has Sport seats. Standard seats only move fore and aft. I have an '04 Coupe with sport seats, and have no problem at 6'4".
