Default Cleaning MAF

I used a CRC MAF cleaner spray on my M3's MAF and it gave me better throttle response and more power.

Can I use the same process to clean my MAF on my vette?

If so anyone got a DIY guide to removing MAF?

I've used carb cleaner on mine. Works like a champ. Just follow the cable to the MAF and open op the intake to get to it.

I just cleaned my MAF last night with CRC MAF cleaner. I don't have a exact directions but here it goes...

1. Disconnect rubber hose on the side of the airbox.
2. Disconnect air duct from throttle body? (i think that is what it is) and unplug the MAF electrical and other sensor from the driver side of airduct.
3. I pulled the whole airduct + airbox assembly out in one piece.
4. Remove clamps that hold on both sides of the MAF.
5 Put the MAF on a shop towel remove the 4 (Torque 20) screws. This will seperate the screen and the backing from the actual MAF.
6. Spray MAF with CRC MAF cleaner and let dry thouroughly. I went ahead and sprayed both ends (2 gray pieces) also. Figured it couldn't hurt.
7. After thourough dry, re-assemble and re-install.

These aren't exact directions, but it should give you enough to point you in the right direction.
