My biggest pet peeve is discovering a stone chip - this time on the headlight lamp door.....GGrrrrrrrrr........I really get annoyed about that. We are all so careful about these cars.....then a stray rock nails you. :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad :mad
I got a chip on my mirror. I used touch up paint and it covered pretty well, but I still see it every time I wash the car.
Still not time to trade it in yet!
I've got a small chip on the front lic cover and another near the driver-side headlight. Neither are noticeable to anyone other than me, but they still bug me. I'm very careful not to get too close to cars ahead of me, but there's no way to avoid the crap thrown up by people going the other direction on a two-lane road. Oh well .. the only alternative is to leave it in the garage, which isn't going to be happening.
:reddevil Yes we all fear that evil stone chip/scratch..My new Honda got a good chip on the hood just after i got it then nothing for 2 years..The Z has a very tiny one just on the front of the hood, i am the only one who will ever see it, but its there...Death to stone chips :reddevil
Zapper, how are you ??? Hey know your pain. Driving it home from the dealer at night on I81. I saw tire debre. manuvered to avoid it but a car in front kicked up some of the junk. Got a small chip off the nose. The bad part is the car was brand new... 7 miles and got a chip knocked off. I feel your pain. :mad
I also have a small stone chip on one of the headlamp covers. It never fails. The day I got my car back from the body shop after having the RK Sport hood installed and the stripes painted, I got a huge chip right in the middle of one of the stripes. It went all the way down to the white paint. I had it fixed, but there's nothing you can do to prevent. So follow some great advice I got from a good friend. "Don't look at it and it won't bother you."
