Most Z06 owners don't drive their cars like we do. My '01 uses no oil between HPDEs, but easily uses a quart and a half during a weekend DE. It's the difference between the occaisional blast to 60mph, versus keeping the RPMs between 5500 and redline for 20 minutes straight 4 or 5 times a day. Either way, this "issue" has been blown way out of proportion and you shouldn't let it change your mind about the car.
