Default underhood leds.

Finally finished the underhood leds today. There are 2 hood pad retainers that are in the perfect spot. I pulled them out, made them a little larger so the leds would fit. Drilled a 1/4" hole next this to relocate the retainer.

Be sure to use a drill stop so you dont punch through the hood.

This shows the leds mounted and new retainers in. I made the angle adjustable by threading a small screw in the top led hole on the backsid

Those look cool. There is some older people that hang out on thursdays nights with their hot-rods during the nicer weather months, and I might do that mood.

that looks nice, I have been wondering, would it be possible to mount any underneath somewhere in the engine compartment and give a glow affect so you dont actually dont see the lights?

When will it ever be enough? If you put a row of about 6 lights in a semi circle under the 2 top lights, now that would be styling. Do they go out when the hood is closed?

Very funny Tim N.I get it a smiley face!! I wired in a pigtail for these when I wired my Halltech stingher thus they come on with the intake lights. Heres the thread on how to do this.
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...h+stinger+ledsThey come on when the hood opens
I know the holes look awfull but I cleaned them up before finilizing the install. KGvette;I tried multiple locations for floods, thin leds strips etc. ?Thats how I discovered the red intake mod. I dont know where you could put them to not be visible and still be effective. Ask Zo6jim.He may have some ideas.

Default correction

I made a mistake on which leds I used in my earlier post.I used these floods for the footwells and trunk.
http://www.oznium.com/high-intensity-led-floodlight
I used their spotlight leds underhood only
http://www.oznium.com/high-intensity-led-spotlight
Now I feel better.
