I just had a prototype shifter **** installed on both of my six speeds by a company that is just getting into the Vette market. The owner, George Ciamillo, has a new 02 Z06 and I think all us Corvette owners are going to benefit from his designing things to go on his new ride! I have a link going to the install page and also one going to his company, so you can e-mail him with any questions you might have. George is in our local club and yes, he did give these out for us to try and yes I like them. Great feel, was able to make the shifter lower on a stock stick than with the stock or the other aftermarket shift **** that I previously had. He is waiting on our input, but can be up in running in less than 2 weeks with production. Take a look!
George plans on several different finishes. One will be the actual color of a Z06 wheel, one chromed, and one like the stock wheels on a C5 - non polished. The aluminum **** is threaded, only caution is make sure the threads on your shifter are not pushed down when installing. This allows you to adjust the height of the shifter.
The **** looks great! The key is how does it feel in your hand and the way it will allow for the "gating" between shifts. It appears that the design will allow for a better feel of the gate in our shifters. How is the infamous 2-3 shift with this ****? Would they consider a "Torch Red" **** to match the modified interior on a Z06? How about an engaved shift pattern in the top of the ****? I for one would order one.

It is a natural feel in your hand and let's you grab it or grip it in multiple ways. The finish is what he needs input on. At the present I think he is a little wary on being able to match a color to the red. I think he wants to anodnize (sp) the color. Drop him an e-mail and let him know your thoughts. He is a nice guy and will listen. His address is on his site, under Vice President (he is trying harder!)
George is very concerned about making this a go with this market. I will make sure he hears about this and gets back to you. Did you send it to his personal e-mail under the Vice President section?
I am enjoying the shift ****, it is definitely worth it. It has to be down computer or something.
Actually I didn't send to his personal E-mail-rather on the web page the box nmed E-Mail. That could explain things. I re-sent this evening to the same E-mail address. I really would like one of these *****!
and I have arranged for him to be called at work tomorrow and make sure he gets back in touch with you. I have the shift **** in both Vettes, my wife loves hers. I have a satin finish in her car and temporary polished in mine. The Z06 wheel color in the future! Good deal........... :D
I emailed George at the site address with my phone number and he called back the same day. Within an hour or so!! Had very interesting conversation with him about the shift ****. Never got availabilty date however... guess I'll have to write him again! :flag
