Default Wheel alignment question....

I just noticed that my left front tire has some cupping on the inside, the right front is fine, I only have 12,000 miles on the car, should I have an alignment done now and continue to use the tire on the car? or wait until I wear the tire down and then get the alignment? I don't want to replace the tire with only 12,000 miles on it, any suggestions???
Thanks.........

Are they properly inflated ? If they are ,, then I would recommend that you take it to an alignment specialist and take a closer look. Don't wait..

Some places, like my local Tire Kingdom, offer an alignment ($75) that is good for a year. Take it in, get it aligned, and if you swap tires on it later, just take it back for another alignment.

I got their 3 year package for $150. I plan on taking my car back there in a couple of months for another alignment. Roads around here are getting bad!

I thought cupping was generally indicative of a bad shock. You might want to check that shock and see if it's leaking or broken.

Is the right front tire wearing on the inside also?

You might have an alignment issue, if you get an alignment, remember that you want a four-wheel alignment, not just a front end alignment.

Thanks guys....
It's just the left front cupping so I'll get it aligned and then drive it the way it is, I lowered it this winter but haven't driven on it yet, the cupping was prior to the lowering.....Thanks again......bob.

The local vette guru, Jamie, offers a lifetime alignment for 130.00. I had him check and adjust mine after lowering, new wheels and tires go on in the morning and Jamie will see it Monday for a check! Lifetime is a LLLOOOONGggg time!
