Spend some money on set time. Getting a lot of power won't do you any good if you can't handle it properly. Learn the car before you start to add serious mods.
Congrats on the car. Post some pics when you get it.
OK, so my "new" '02 Z06 is being loaded into a container, to be shipped to me here in Australia.
I already have a copy of HPTuners (so I will be tuning). I also bought a 160 degree Thermostat and a Venom CIA Kit.
Other that the above, where are the easiest areas to increase power. Where will I get the "best bang for my buck".
Headers? High flow stainless media cats? Exhaust? Throttle body?
Headers are manditory for supporting later mods unless you're doing Forced induction. If you go headers get a kit with a 3" xpipe that way you can go with LG's "Big 3" exhaust system and gain another 10-15HP there. Ported throttle body will add 5-7hp when you do headers. Netting all these potential gains also depends on getting the tune correct. A cam is a great value mod if you plan on installing and tuning yourself, but you'll need to upgrade your valvetrain too. Good luck
Seriously, put a blower on it. It's a sizeable up front cost, but once the mod bug hits you're gonna spend that much any way. Why the hell do you want to fight and scrap for 5hp here and 10hp there when you can bolt on 150hp .
From: WANTED: '68 rear valance with b/u light assemblies IM, e-mail, or PM me here. Thanks!

That's daaaaamn right. I've laid out my top three mods for the '04 Z; blower, headers and tune. Anything after that will be suspension work.
