The other day I went to GM and had my "Custom Program" FLASHED or removed for that matter, it drives and runs so much better. Before when I would nail the 100 shot of nitrous at 4,00 rpms it would PING like a SOB so I have been using the 75 shot. Today I put the 100 shot in the car and went to give it a try at 3,000 rpms and DAMN I got sideways starting in second gear and the tail end of the car crossed lanes power shifting into third:eek: , this thing moves and no PINING. I would like to know from anyone who has used nitrous on the LS6 before how much nitrous will this motor take and in addition I think the reprogrammed computer thing is a FU@king waste of money on a stock car with my below mods. In closing I will be welcoming the 130 mph trap speeds soon and maybe some 10 second passes. :smash:

I don't have firsthand experience b/c I've yet to get my '02 Z, but the local shop that does many nitrous installs uses stock programming. On one car (an '01 Z) they installed headers, x-pipe, air intake and a 125hp TNT kit. Made 506rwhp w/ no detonation or lean condition issues. Stock computer programming.

Thanks for the help, as for the TNT system they have a hell of a rating scale there "75" shot made 125 to the ground on my friends slowmarow "thats what he calls it" but with 502 hp to the ground it gets out of it's own way. mine is at 470 RWHP now so I will try the 150. Do you know if that 01 has a stock fuel pump?

Optic, maybe I missed it - but what tires are you running @ the track and what PSI ?

I am running the stock F1's and the tires perssure is always at 30 psi.

Drop that psi to 18psi and you will take a click or two off Try it!

I do not know for sure if the '01 had the stock fuel pump...but I was lead to believe it did. At the time I didn't think to ask.
